An Orion® Pictures Release. What happened to Orion®?!

jASON: No homework for you tonight.

You're grounded.

istoba: There's SOOO much!!

One night I spent an hour on 1 stupid word problem

j: See, if you'd just spend that long making up excuses not to do it

Things would be sooo much better

i: It's interesting to witness one's own brain resist change

j: Change?

i: Like learning new problems. It just don't want to. Especially math

j: Who wants new problems?

Don't you have enough old ones?

i: Touché

j: hahaha

i: I learned all the algebra stuff, passed the test, and I can literally feel my brain forgetting it all already

j: All is as it should be

i: haha

So how Goethe it

Work

School

Play

Sleep

j: They took the stingray petting zoo out ov moody gardens!

I was crushed

I bet it's the crocodile hunter's fault

i: They really had a stingray petting zoo?

j: Yeah

But I bucked the system

I petted the stingrays in the regular tank

They're very friendly

i: haha

"Hey you! Get your hand out of there."

j: hahaha

Stupid security guards

i: Then you throw one at him

How often do you travel that way? To Moody Gardens

j: Hmmm

Less than once a year i guess

But I went today

i: Did you have the day off

j: Yeah

i: Nice I wish an eighth day could be inserted into the week so I could just get caught up.

j: Caught up?

i: Too many things going on.

j: What you mean?

i: I was thinking about it. When you're good. You're in demand. When you want to help people, that's good. But when so many people need help, there's not enough time to do it all. My thing is I need to remember and act out of a knowing that I'm not the only one that can help people. If they can't get help from me, then they can from someone else.

I just assume if they ask me, there must be a reason, otherwise, why would they ask?

But I think the reason is so I can learn to say no

j: Hmmm

i: We'll be alright.

We all will

j: And if not, well then

We won't be

i: Because with our commander in chief, George W. Bush

We're safe

j: Which will be alright

i: Right

Alright is just realizing there is nothing to worry about

j: Unless you like to worry

It brings some people happiness

i: It gives a good illusion of control

j: Illusion

i: For instance. Last week, I created a Microsoft Access database of every single account I have open. Login ID, Password, Website, Date joined, notes, etc..

It feels pretty good to have it all in one central place

j: On your computer where hackers can get it easily

i: And it helps me wrap my mind around just all the things I partake in

God bless them.

The file is password protected

Ironically

The password is literally, ironic

Well, not literally the word ironic

But if you guessed it, or brute force attacked it and read it, you'd be like 'damn, that's ironic'

And it's not 'password'

Or any variant thereof

But I was thinking about what you said. About posting it all online. To bypass the fear.

I was thinking of cataloguing everything in my life. Every notable event, account, material possession, action, etc...

In a factual way

Not an opinionated way

Although i could document opinions as the fact that they're opinions

And then, every so randomly, something spontaneous, to ensure things aren't too routine

j: Sounds good

And you could also keep a dream journal

i: It'd be awesome! The access database is really quite cool. It has the main parent entries (which you can make anything) and then they have little plus signs next to them that you can click to see sub entries, and you can add sub entries to infinity! (or as big as your hard drive at least)... so, for example...

I could start with just my personal information, click the plus sign, has records regarding each aspect of that, say, credit cards that I have, and checking account. You click the plus on each of those and see everything I've ever bought on those. Click the plus sign to see pictures, when I acquired it, what I thought of it, how much I paid, when I parted with it...

On and on

j: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Hahaha

i: I could even write a little java program for my phone that would auto enter dates whenever I click a button. So, I could tap the button every night before I cook dinner... and after a year or so, build a report about the average times I ate dinner over the past year

Or how many movies I saw... at what theatres. How many trips did I take.

...

....

j: Hehee

i: All of it, in a Microsoft access database

My whole life

If jason is gleeful, it can't be good!

j: I always wish i could find someone's online journal or blog, and figure out where they're going to be, then go make their day interesting and see what they write about it

i: See.

I could incorporate real time GPS! With the Helio cell phone

So entering the data would be automatic (for the most part)

Cause otherwise you'd have to track how much time you spent tracking your life!

And how much time you spent tracking how much time you spent tracking how much time you spent living!

It's like if you could video record every minute of your day (which you could, given today's cheap storage), what's the point. Because you could never watch it all

j: Or, you could just copy and paste this as every entry:

i: You could edit it each night I suppose. Cut out the boring stuff... and then every so often watch recaps of the good ol days

j: "worked on ___________ for so and so. resented it. wish I had more time..."

i: But then you'd be recording yourself editing, and watching yourself watch videos

Haha

'tis true

But all of that is just a physical representation of the abstract idea I have of finding a way to wrap my mind around my life.

And we know that ain't gonna happen.

j: Just let go

Use the force

i: I wonder if Obi-Wan would have let a storm trooper kill him without resisting. Did it have to be darth vader for it to be so impactful for Luke?

j: Yes

You know that

i: Because he embodied the absolute focal point of the dark side

A storm trooper is just on the periphery

A storm trooper does not possess the sheer disdain and animosity for and towards Obi-Wan, as did Darth.

So the contrast was most vivid!

j: Exactly

i: Ahh, geek speak

Geeky guys are getting really hot chicks these days, I noticed

j: You need to get out and do something fun

i: I plan on going to Nickel Nickel arcade for my birthday

Maybe I'll go in my birthday suit

Give the kids something to remember

j: hahaha

Yeash!!

Someone told me today about packagedeals to the Dominican Republic

900 bucks get you a plane ticket and one week in a hotel on the beach (topless beach no less) with all the food and alcohol you can eat and drink

i: 900! Sign me up

Where is the Dominican Republic again?

j: By Florida

i: Really? Florida

j: Yup

It's not a part ov the u.s. tho

i: Ah yes, US

j: So you get to have the fun ov going through customs!

i: They eye you like there's a 99% chance you're a terrorist, and 1% that you're an average person.

j: Yup

well, all the airport security do that

i: I wonder what would happen if you wore a t-shirt that said "I am not a terrorist"

j: The customs agents think you're a smuggler as well

i: I hate life. Why did the terrorists and criminals have to ruin it

j: There are terrorists and criminals

But there are also bunnies!

i: I love them! Because they're so easy to understand

So I take that back, I hate some aspects of life

And even then, I can't be sure I really do.

Still young

j: True

Someday you'll be a grouchy old man and hate life with fervor!

i: Well, at least then I'll stand for something (A)

j: hahaha

I see a lot ov those people at work

i: I really want to get in the swing of planning our topics out, providing some structure, and allowing spontaneity to kick in where it most surprisingly will. I'm working on getting my life in order enough to commit myself to the things I want to do. And this is one of them. I got's to head out to get some homework done. Same time next week and we can discuss this more?

j: And maybe some e-mails in between to plan out a topic ahead ov time?

i: Perfect!

I'll send you the first

j: cool

have fun

talk at cha laterzzz...

i: ditto! g'night
